These are Sunday newspaper Comics section, printed in color, by the Winnipeg Tribune (in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada); This was the FIRST newspaper to take Sunday pages & put them into a comic book format; The covers & interiors are all printed on Newsprint paper, so they can be fragile. Winnipeg has a relitively small population of around 600,000 people. They were distributed for the general public of Winnipeg, as a bonus with their newspaper, thus About 95-99% of the Original print run was thrown out & destroyed; Of the remaining copies, many are now low grade, & many (1/3 to 1/2) of them have puzzle & games pages marked up; So these remain SCARCE & Unusual items, which are GREAT for completionists of any of the characters below; These have been listed in the OVERSTREET Comic Book Price Guide for many years now & are quite collectible; These are newspaper Sunday comics section, printed on Newsprint in color. THIS COMIC SERIES IS RECOGNIZED FOR IT'S IMPORTANCE (1st Sunday's in Comic Format), IN THE ANNUAL OVERSTREET COMIC BOOK PRICE GUIDE and are RARELY seen, since they originate from a small REGIONAL area!] Virtually NO collectors have ever seen, or heard of these items! >>>>>> The Series runs 155 different issues from Volume 1 #1(Sept.24/1977) to Vol.4#36 (Sept.6/1980); >>> TRIB COMIC BOOK = (Color Sunday strips begin, but printed on Saturday's, usually a day before the rest of the world, making these TRUE FIRST THUS items!
